Dr. Brooke believes in conservation issues. His recent book, Jaguars of the Northern Pantanal: Panthera onca at the Meeting of Waters, published in 2020 combines science with photography to illustrate the lives of these complex cats in Brazil.
Recently, he has been at work on Pantagruelian: Photographs and Poems of Torres del Paine that examines the behaviors of Chilean pumas in a poetic narrative coupled with photographs (see a sneak peek).
